The Soroptimist mission is to improve the lives of women and children in local communities and throughout the world. In order to accomplish this goal, the organization administers the following programs:

Helping Hands Program
Discover how we partnered with Elk Grove Food Bank to provide emergency funding for women 55+ women with emergency funds.
Soaring to Success
We uplift girls at Elk Grove’s continuation high schools with recognition, encouragement, and quarterly awards that give them a boost when they need it most. Each student receives a $100 Target gift card and a certificate, and we also provide four $2,000 scholarships through the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation. Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Campaign
In partnership with the Elk Grove Police Department, we lead a local awareness effort around Human Trafficking.
Teen Dating Violence Prevention Project
We help teens understand healthy relationships by sharing our Teen Dating Violence Bookmark and other awareness resources.
Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Children
Through this award-winning program, Soroptimist disburses cash grants for innovative Soroptimist club projects.
Soroptimist Disaster Grants
With these disaster grants, Soroptimist provides funds for programs that assist women and girls after a man-made or natural disaster.
Soroptimist Elk Grove Community Grants
In addition to the gifts described on ‘Our Programs’ page, Soroptimist International of Elk Grove (SIEG) will have a limited sum each year to distribute to nonprofit or public benefit organizations for worthy projects, whether in the form of financial support or gifts.
