What Soroptimist fundraising and participation does right here in our community:

• Four $2,000 annual awards through the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation and SI Elk Grove Dream 
• Five $2,000 Live Your Dream Awards, awarded to women returning to college or training.
• Helping Hands program – providing Senior women (55+) with emergency funding

Some of our past programs are:

• “Take Flight” Shower for young ladies aging out of the Foster System to provide home goods for apartments/dorm room
• Providing EG Police Department with soft blankets/stuffed animals for children in traumatic situations.
• Furnishing WEAVE with clothing and toiletries for women victims of sexual assault.
• Assisting current and emancipated foster youth with living necessities, gift cards, and other support.
• Providing materials on teen dating violence and human trafficking at Elk Grove Unified School District middle and high schools.

Monetary support and/or volunteer time has been given in support of:

• Project R.I.D.E. therapeutic horseback riding program.
