This is a fundraiser for

Soroptimist International of Elk Grove

Soroptimist Elk Grove invites you to our 2023 Martinis & Merriment comedy event. Meet up with friends as you visit different stations to sip custom mini-martinis paired with appetizer bites. While you’re sipping and eating, enjoy the music provided. Enjoy entertainment by comedians, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
Find us at the S.E.S. Hall, 10482 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, 95624. Tickets are $65 per person, $75 at the Door and $480 per table of 8.
This comedy event is 21 years and older. Join us from 6pm – 10pm.
Profits support our Dream Programs (Live Your Dream and Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls), senior women grants, high school scholarships, community grants, leadership education and more!
Ticket sales are nonrefundable unless SIEG cancels this event.

Our Opener:  Brooke Heinichen

Brooke is a San Francisco stand-up comedian.

She is a paid regular at the San Francisco Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club, the Alameda Comedy Club, Rooster T. Feathers and Laugh Unlimited. Brooke placed third overall in the 2021 World Series of Comedy (out of hundreds of comics nationwide) and was the winner of the 2019 Rooster T Feather’s comedy competition (out of 180+ comics).

She has performed at the last 5 SF Sketchfests, and was selected as one of Audible’s Fresh Faces of Stand-Up (a show highlighted in USA Today). Brooke was also selected for Comedy Day in San Francisco in 2019-2022, and was a semi-finalist in the 2022 SF International Comedy Competition. She has studied satire writing with The Second City, and her jokes have been featured on the front page of Reddit and as the Joke of the Week at the DNC Speechwriters office.

Originally from Ohio, she talks quickly and smiles a lot.

Our Headliner:  Dan St. Paul

Dan St. Paul has been chronicling his life on stage for 30 years. After turning fifty, he discovered his body changing (“I’m a cylinder now. I can wear a belt anywhere on my body.”), his memory faulty (“I have eight pair of reading glasses and I have no idea where they are.”), and dealing with a lazy teenager (“I have a bumper sticker that says ‘My Son’s Just Getting by At Hillsdale High’.”).

Instead of sitting home and stewing about, he’s touring the country with “What’s Funny After 50?”

Dan has been a national headlining comedian at some of the top comedy clubs in the country. He has appeared on NBC, ABC, FOX, Comedy Central, A&E, and VH-1. Dan has also opened for such celebrities as Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Ringo Starr, Natalie Cole, Hall and Oates, Vince Gill, Clint Black, and even the San Francisco Symphony (“I knew them when they were just a garage band.”) His “The First Baseball Game” is one of the most requested comedy pieces on the syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show.
